Glasgow Tower Training Events | | Posted: Saturday, September 20, 2008 | |
The High Access Rescue Team was invited to conduct, Emergency Training Exercises with the tower staff and review existing rescue plans for a Technical Line Rescue from the observation area and lifts of the Glasgow Tower, In the event that any lift having mechanical failure and the evacuation / emergency lift was unable to be respond for some reason.
We conducted trials of various methods of rescue with both able bled and disabled parties. (Members of staff)
It was agreed that a cableway evacuation would be the best method in all events. The Glasgow Tower keeps all necessary equipment required for rescue on location.
We would like to thank Alan and Sandy + members of staff who assisted HART in making the training events possible. You made the rescues as professional and realistic as possible.
